CONSUMER AFFAIRS

DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS

Consumer Affairs, is one of the many great advocacy agency in the City of New York.  Having worked for New York City Government, I never had the need to seek this agency's assistance.  Maybe because we had many consumer educational programs, as a public service from various local television stations.

If not public service programming from law enforcement about keeping your serial, model, and registration numbers, etc., on all electronic appliances, including phones,  in a safe place it was from great shows, e.g.,   Consumers, Know Your Rights!!;  Fight Back!!; Don't Let Government Cheat You --Great Buys - CHEAP, and Knowledge is Power!!!  OH!  Programming is not like is used to be.

The slogans -- "fight back," "know your rights," "an educated consumer...," etc., holds more true now, sans public service announcement, television, etc.-- but your rights are posted in every store, and/or on your receipts -- look real hard-- [the fine print].

This year, and last I had to seek Commissioner Jonathan Mintz', Department of Consumer Affairs, assistance three (3) times, different reasons, and the outcomes and results were great.  I was, and still am pleased at the quick results that were accomplished in a short time.

Looking for the Tags--huh!!!  OH!!! those TAGS.
